TRANSMISSION

              The next important thing to know is the transmission (i.e gearbox) type.

Commonly there are two types

•  Manual
•  Automatic

MANUAL gearbox

Some Manual gearbox consist of 6 forward and 1 backward but most of the Manual gearbox are mated with 5 forward and 1 backward

AUTOMATIC gearbox

Traditional Automatic Transmission.

·       Automated-Manual Transmission.

·       Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)

·       Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)

·       DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox)

ENGINE

    There are 4 types of engine

• Runs with petrol
• Runs with diesel
• Runs with gas/cng
• Runs with electricity/battery

      STEERINGS AND CONTROLS

      

     
        This is used to turn your vehicle left, right and straight. Depending upon your vehicle it is connected to front wheels or back wheels.

  

     A-     Accelerator [which is used to throttle the speed]

     B-     Brake [which is used to stop or slow down the vehicle]

     C-     Clutch[ which is used to shift the gear in vehicle] clutch will not be available in automatic transmission vehicle 

    

      SPEEDOMETER

    

   

    Speedometer in cars varies from one car to another. But the basic things available are

•         Fuelmeter [shows the amount of fuel]
•         Temperature [shows temperature of the engine]
•         Odometer [shows information about the distance]
•         Speedometer [information about the speed at which vehicle moving]

     Some important indications like

•         Indicators
•         Headlight
•         Fog lamp
•         Wipers
•         Hand brake
•         Abs
•         Seat belt warning
•         Door warning etc.,

     MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR SAFETY – SEAT BELTS

  

             

  We all know Helmet is necessary for 2-wheeler. Like that wearing seatbelt helps us to avoid injuries if accident occur.

   

   The reasons for using seat belt are 

         ·          In case of any accident if you didn’t wear your seat belt, then airbags won't work (for some cars).
    ·         Wearing seat belt is a mandatory and it will also reduce severe injury during occurrence of accidents.
